Course Design
To obtain the title of Master of Letters, the student, after being approved and regularly enrolled in the course, must fulfill 24 (twenty-four) credits in theoretical subjects; 6 (six) credits in academic activities; 8 (eight) credits in subjects in writing the dissertation; s/he must be approved in the dissertation qualification exam, as well as the final exam of the master’s dissertation. The master’s dissertation must be based on a project submitted to and approved by the selection process committee.
The Master’s course in Letters lasts for 24 (twenty four) months, during which all the requirements to obtain the title of Master in Letters must be fulfilled.
The Graduate Program in Letters is located at Campus of Porto Nacional, where most of the master’s classes take place. Sporadically, classes may also occur at other campuses, according to the professor’s workplace responsible for the discipline.
